HOW TO USE A CARROT GRATER: Carrots can be difficult to grate because they are so hard and therefore we recommend that you use a safety holder to prevent the risk of scraping your knuckles or fingers. Run the vegetable in a downward motion over the grater. These movements have to be uniform and smooth, yet powerful - to help blades work more comfortably, you need to gain speed. Repeat until vegetable piece becomes too small to be grated (if you have some experience, you will be able to grate such small pieces practically to zero without safety holder, otherwise use a knife). Do not use dishwashing liquid or a cleanser that's high in chlorides. Just rinse thoroughly. Follow with a soft cloth to dry. Marinade And now the most important thing in the true recipe of "Korean carrot" salad - Marinade. Take a frying pan, pour into it 5 tbsp. of olive or soybean oil and place over high heat until hot. Then add 1 teaspoon paprika and continue cooking for 1 minute over medium-high heat. Paprika adds color and spiciness, therefore the oil has the unique taste and aroma. Then cut the onion in half, take one part and finely chop an onion, fry it for 3-4 minutes until soft and slightly golden. After that, remove the onion pieces from the hot oil and add oil to the cooked carrots, stir until thoroughly mixed, cover the container with a lid and leave for a day!
